The Screenwriters Guild of Nigeria (SWGN) is the professional body representing screenwriters across Nigeria. We are committed to advancing the craft of screenwriting, championing the rights and interests of writers, and creating opportunities for screenwriters to thrive within Nigeria’s film and television industry.
Through advocacy, professional development, industry engagement and community, the Guild provides a platform for writers to connect, grow and have a stronger voice in the industry.
The Guild safeguards the rights and interests of screenwriters, upholds the highest professional standards, and advances the craft through sustained capacity-building and professional development initiatives.
